DAY 3 - GETTING STARTED SERIES
SETTING THE MOOD
Create an atmosphere that your clients will never want to leave by taking a few extra moments to optimally organize your photos. The longer your clients browse through and peruse their images, the more likely they are to make a purchase!
BITE SIZED PIECES
If your gallery contains more than 100 images, you're going to want to split it into a couple of smaller categories. Using categories in this way will allow your clients to more easily find their way through their images without becoming discouraged or overwhelmed.

PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD
In addition to categorizing your images you should always put a handful of your best photos ahead of the rest, in every category. Your client's first reaction to their gallery should be "WOW!" and there's no better way to pull them in and make that happen than to personally select the best of the bunch.

Some of the possible ways of rearranging your images include:

Rename the images. Your images are automatically ordered alphanumerically when they're uploaded, and renaming them before (or after) uploading them will get them into any order you choose.

Use the "Sort Images" droplist. Each of the pages that display your images also has a "Sort Images" droplist on the top of the page. Changing the option in the droplist will change the sequence of the images within the category.

Drag-and-drop your images within the "list view." While viewing your list of images simply click and drag any image to anywhere else within the category.

Drag-and-drop your images within the "sort view." If you you'd like to move more than one image at a time, you can select and drag multiple images at once within the "sort view."
